KEWAUNEE, WI - A ribbon-cutting celebration Monday morning kicked off a grand opening week for the new Kewaunee branch of the Bank of Luxemburg.

Local business and government leaders were on hand as the branch at 925 Marquette Drive was formally opened, a week after the doors opened.

“We recognized the need and saw the opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of the individuals and businesses that make up the Kewaunee community, keeping local service close to your home,” said Ray Balza, chairman of the board, before he wielded the ceremonial giant scissors to cut the ribbon.

Mayor Sandi Christman welcomed the bank and said the city is excited to have a branch specifically located in Kewaunee.

“It’s good when we offer our citizens options that are community located,” Christman said.

Dave Phillips of general contractor Bayland Buildings presented bank president Tim Treml with a plaque reading, “Presented to Bank of Luxemburg in appreciation of ongoing partnership and shared vision to build our community stronger. Congratulations on your continued success and growth.”

The branch is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday.
