Steve Ambrosius founded Bayland Buildings, Inc. in 1991 with 2 employees. Steve's vision, leadership, commitment to quality and customer first philosophy have grown the company to 250 full-time employees with over $100M in annual revenue. He serves as the Chairman on Bayland Buildings' Leadership Advisory Board. Steve structured Bayland Buildings, Inc. as an ESOP which allows employees to become owners of the company.
Chief Executive Officer
Chad Calmes
Named Chief Executive Officer as of 2019, Chad Calmes is responsible for overall operations of Bayland Buildings, Inc. with a key focus on achieving and exceeding performance expectations while maintaining Baylands core values and mission. Chad also holds a seat on the Bayland Buildings, Inc. Advisory Board since 2013.
Chad's industry experience spans over two decades and includes knowledge in design, estimating, project supervision and project management. He also held multiple key leadership roles as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Fulfillment.
Chad earned an associate's degree from NWTC in Architectural Design and is also LEED accredited.
Chief Financial Officer
Dan Verhagen
As Chief Financial Officer of Bayland Buildings, Dan Verhagen is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business including accounting practices, budgeting, and financial planning. He works closely with the accounting department managing their day-to-day operations, and also manages Bayland's IT department. Dan has over 29 years of accounting experience and has been at Bayland Buildings for over 20 years.
Vice President of Customer Acquisition
Shawn Mueller
As Vice President of Customer Acquisition, Shawn Mueller drives revenue growth by and managing Bayland’s project executive team in addition to developing and evolving overall client relations. With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Shawn provides his team with leadership and career development to successfully exceed growth initiatives. Shawn also holds a seat on the Bayland Buildings, Inc. Advisory Board
Shawn held positions at Bayland Buildings, Inc. as a general laborer, foreman and project superintendent, before making the transition into project executive in 2003. Attention to detail and his ability to effectively communicate with his team is key to successfully developing every project.
Vice President of Business Development
Dean Hunt
As Vice President of Commercial Business Development Dean Hunt is responsible for creating client partnerships and new market opportunities. Dean connects with existing and potential clients serving as a starting point within the building process. Dean also holds a seat on the Bayland Buildings, Inc. Advisory Board.
Vice President of Operations
Steve Wenninger
As Vice President of Operations Steve Wenninger oversees the management and growth of Bayland’s project teams specific to project management, supervision, purchasing and scheduling. Steve also manages integrating new hires into the project team and holds a seat on the Bayland Buildings, Inc. Advisory Board.
Vice President of Engineering Services
Roger Thiel
With 26 years of building design experience and engineering, Roger Thiel leads the Bayland engineering and drafting department while overseeing all structural engineering operations and fabrication design. Roger also holds a seat on the Bayland Buildings, Inc. Advisory Board.
Roger's primary expertise lies in commercial and agricultural projects. He joined the Bayland team in 2003. Roger is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Wisconsin and Michigan, and holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
Vice President of AgriSteel
Adam Eisenreich
As Vice President of Agristeel Adam Eisenreich oversees the entire fabrication operation including but not limited to, Estimating & Procurement, Outside Sales, and Production. Adam has been essential to the continued development of systems at Agristeel as the division recognizes continued growth, shipping fabricated steel and agricultural building packages throughout the United States and Canada.
Adam has over 17 years of service to Bayland Buildings in multiple roles including Design, Estimating, Construction Project Management, and most recently in a Project Management role at our Agristeel Fabrication division.
