APPLETON, WI - Neenah Paper, Inc. has chosen Bayland Buildings, Inc., as the general contractor for their building expansion at their Appleton mill location.  The expansion will include a new production line that will be located north of the existing mill.  Neenah applied for and is receiving incentives from Focus on Energy, Wisconsin's statewide program for energy efficiency and renewable energy, for this project. In addition, training and tax support is being provided by the Wisconsin Economic Development Council.

"We are pleased to be a long term manufacturing plant within the city of Appleton.  We appreciate and would like to thank outside agencies like Focus on Energy and the Wisconsin Economic Development Council for their support and assistance as we expand our Appleton operations," said Neenah Paper's Appleton mill manager Howard Piotrowski.

Neenah Paper, Inc. ("Neenah") acquired its Appleton mill in 2007.  This facility employs approximately 100 people and has successfully been in operation since 1883.  This facility is a major user of the municipal sewer, water, and electric infrastructure and Neenah bears a significant percentage of the annual capital and operating costs of these utilities.

It is expected that 90% of the products will be sold out of the State of Wisconsin and of that, a significant portion will be sold out of the country, thus converting Wisconsin resources into high value-add products and bringing imported dollars to the state.

The project is expected to be complete in the second half of 2016.
